Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth exploration of penetration testing methodologies and practices within cybersecurity. Students will learn how to identify, exploit, and report security vulnerabilities in various systems and applications. Key topics include reconnaissance, scanning, vulnerability assessment, exploitation, post-exploitation, and reporting. The course emphasizes hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and techniques, ethical considerations, and legal aspects of penetration testing. By the end of the course, students will develop the skills to conduct comprehensive penetration tests and effectively communicate their findings, preparing them for careers in cybersecurity and ethical hacking.
