Catalog description

This study will examine the concepts of secondary traumatic stress, vicarious traumatization, countertransference, and burnout. The aim of the study is to help students assess their own vulnerabilities to secondary traumatic stress. The importance of self-awareness, supervision, and work-home balance will be integral to this study. This course is aligned with the Community and Human Services Area of Study guidelines for Knowledge of Human Behavior.
