Social Welfare Policy ((4 Credits))

Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to gain a working knowledge of social welfare policies in the United States focusing on both the historical and current context. Emphasis will be placed on connecting policy with practice. This course is aligned with the Community and Human Services Area of Study guidelines for Knowledge of Service Delivery. This course is part of the BS in Public Health program. Prerequisites: Intro to Human Services is recommended.
