Catalog description

This course examines human development through a global lens, focusing on how cultural, social, economic, and political factors shape development across diverse regions. Emphasis is placed on developmental theories, comparative analysis of child-rearing practices, lifespan development, and policy implications worldwide. Students will critically examine how various societies define and promote development at different life stages. By engaging in cross-cultural comparisons, students will gain a deeper understanding of how different worldviews inform developmental norms, expectations, and outcomes.
