Careers in Psychology and Human Development: Advanced ((2 Credits))
Empire State University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This advanced-level course supports students who are ready to critically explore diverse career paths and graduate study options within the fields of Psychology and Human Development. Through purposeful career exploration and mapping, professional self-assessment, and the development of application materials (e.g., résumés, personal statements), students will examine both traditional and emerging roles in clinical, research, academic, educational, community, and organizational settings. The course emphasizes strategic decision-making, aligning individual, career goals with career pathways, and understanding how to navigate competitive graduate programs and professional networks. Students should not enroll in this course and the introductory level of the same course title as there is significant redundancy in the content of courses.
