Catalog description

This course will explore the community health needs of various ethnic and cultural population groups. Cultural, social, political and economic factors involved in the access and utilization of healthcare systems by diverse groups of people in the United States will be compared. Factors that influence the epidemiological measures of morbidity and mortality will also be covered. This course is aligned with the Community and Human Services Area of Study guidelines for Diversity and Knowledge of Service Delivery. This course is part of the BS in Public Health program.
