Catalog description

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of Native Americans in US history and the distinctive features of the history, institutions, economy, society, and culture of Native American Indian Nations. The dynamics of power, privilege, oppression, and opportunity as well as identity and equity are infused within the course. Issues of social justice, race, class, and gender will be emphasized as students engage with primary and secondary sources written by and about this diverse population of Americans.
