Catalog description

This lower-level finance practicum provides students with a hands-on introduction to the practical application of foundational financial concepts in a workplace setting. Designed to bridge academic theory with real-world experience, the course allows students to interpret basic financial data and reports using appropriate industry terminology, reflecting common entry-level tasks in the finance field. Students will develop core technical skills through applied activities focused on basic data management and spreadsheet use to organize, summarize, and accurately present financial information. In addition, the practicum emphasizes the development of clear and effective professional communication, both written and oral, enabling students to present financial information in a professional context.
