Catalog description

This course introduces aspiring K–12 educators to the processes involved in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational technology initiatives in school settings, with particular attention to curriculum design and virtual learning environments. Students analyze how technology projects—such as instructional tools, digital platforms, or online programs—support learning standards and instructional goals. Emphasis is placed on instructional design principles, collaborative planning, and equitable implementation practices that promote meaningful learning in virtual and blended contexts. Through case studies and applied analysis, students develop the knowledge and skills needed to thoughtfully contribute to technology-related efforts within schools. Prerequisites: ECET 3060 or EDST 3065 .
