Catalog description

Students will deepen their knowledge of theories and practices pertaining to educational technology and learning design. Students will engage in advanced seminar discussions on topics related to learning experience design with emerging technologies. Students will create a body of work that reflects their ability to integrate theory into practice by applying learning principles and assessment methods in the design and development of a comprehensive multimedia project, and the development of a design e-portfolio. Students will design and develop their e-portfolio to showcase their technological, pedagogical content knowledge in educational technology and learning design, and illustrate their growth as a designer with emerging technologies, as well as incorporate their knowledge, skills, abilities, and interests in their chosen area of expertise. Personal reflection will be used to self-evaluate one’s own evidence of learning and to make deeper connections between the concepts learned in the other courses.
