This lower-level Economics Practicum provides an introductory opportunity for students to observe and apply basic economic concepts in a workplace setting. The study emphasizes understanding how foundational ideas such as supply and demand, pricing, costs, and customer behavior appear in everyday business or organizational activities. Students engage in tasks such as collecting and organizing basic data, describing workplace processes, and identifying simple economic relationships within their professional environment. They use basic tools, including spreadsheets and summary reports, to present their observations. The practicum is structured and guided, helping students build confidence in connecting academic learning to real-world experience. This study prepares students for further coursework and more advanced applied learning in economics.
