Early Childhood Practicum: Student Teaching II ((6 Credits))

Catalog description
With an emphasis on curriculum and environments for first and second grade, students will apply pedagogical methods as they begin the practicum component of the early childhood education program. Each student will apply this knowledge using early learning standards and other resources to make decisions about spontaneous and planned learning experiences and about curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation to ensure that learning will be stimulating, challenging, and meaningful to each child. This practicum will take place in an approved first or second grade classroom. Please note: All program requirements must be met before the student can register for this course. Prerequisites: ECET 3090 Early Childhood Experience: Special Education, ECET 3085 Early Childhood Experience: Language and Literacy, ECET 3080 Issues and Advocacy, ECET 4030 Early Childhood Curriculum Planning Across the Content Areas. Corequisites: ECET 4145 Student Teaching Seminar: ECE.
