In this study, students will critically examine the sociological, cultural, psychological, and economic aspects of human services for people with disabilities in the United States. The course emphasizes analyzing policy frameworks, promoting advocacy, and addressing the intersections of power, privilege, and oppression that influence service delivery and accessibility. This study aligns with the Community and Human Services Skills and Diversity requirements.
