Catalog description

Communicating insights from data is essential for decision-making in business, science, and public policy. This course focuses on data visualization principles, interactive dashboards, and visual storytelling techniques. Students will learn to create effective and ethical visual representations using current tools. The course also covers color theory, perception in visualization, and cognitive biases that affect how data is interpreted. Through hands-on projects, students will transform complex datasets into compelling narratives for diverse audiences. Prerequisites: CSCI 2020 : Introduction to Programming with Python OR basic proficiency in Python and statistics.
