Catalog description

This course emphasizes reading, writing, and critiquing diverse forms of poetry to build a foundation of poetic knowledge and craft. Students will analyze and discuss poems from a range of authors and time periods; identify and apply craft techniques to specific forms of poetry; generate and revise original poems; and expand creative writing skills through constructive critiques with peers and instructor.
