Catalog description

This course is a survey of the structure and function of body systems. It is the first of two introductory studies of Anatomy and Physiology. The topics covered include anatomical organization; homeostasis; cell and tissue organization; metabolism; the integumentary system; the skeletal and muscular systems; the central and peripheral nervous systems; and the endocrine system. This course contains elements which rely on vision and motor skills to complete. Notes: This course uses a mandatory hands-on lab kit to provide students an authentic laboratory experience. The kit (in addition to the textbook) will add an additional cost to the Course Materials.
