Biology II: Lecture ((3 Credits))

This three-credit course covers the lecture component of Biology I. The laboratory component is offered as a separate course ( BIOL 1213 ). Students will learn the basic principles of biology, primarily in the domain of microbial, plant and animal biology. Lecture topics include: biological diversity; plant form and function; animal form and function, including digestion, respiration, immune responses, excretion, endocrinology, reproduction, and neurology. The study of life forms is presented in the context of the principles of evolution and ecology and emphasizes the importance of interactions among organisms. This course contains visual elements, such as the memorization and interpretation of visual data, which rely on vision skills to complete.
