This capstone course provides a culminating experience for students to synthesize their knowledge and skills in the performing arts through the development of a major project. Designed for online learners, the course encourages students to explore their creative and academic interests while addressing contemporary challenges or opportunities in the field of performance. Students will design and execute a personalized project—such as a performance piece, scholarly research, or innovative digital performance production—demonstrating their ability to apply theoretical, historical, and technical knowledge to real-world contexts. The course also emphasizes collaboration, critical reflection, and professional preparation, including portfolio development and career-focused discussions. Students will emerge from this course with a deeper understanding of their artistic voice, professional goals, and the impact they can make in the performing arts world. Prerequisites: Students should have advanced level writing, critical thinking, and research skills, and have completed at least 12 credits of work in any areas of the performing arts (some of these credits should be advanced).
