Catalog description

An introduction to the interdisciplinary analysis of literature(s) and art(s) using multiple methodologies and forms of evidence to understand their interrelation. The course investigates how a group of literatures and related arts are produced, then "received" and dynamically interpreted by audiences in distinct cultural and historical contexts. Examples vary by section. The IDS program supports interdisciplinary inquiry across the undergraduate experience; this course may be cross-listed with other departments.
