Catalog description

This course introduces students to essential topics, concepts, and airmen knowledge associated with regulatory-compliant use of small uncrewed aircraft systems (sUAS) within the U.S. National Airspace System (NAS). Through the review of relevant regulations and documentation and scenario-based practice with interactive electronic and web-based tools, students will gain the required aeronautical knowledge, exercise regulatory compliance, and learn to apply best practices. With the successful completion of this course students can expect to be prepared for the Federal Aviation Administration Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification examination while also attaining a comprehensive understanding of key factors supporting the productive, purposeful, responsible, and legal operation of sUAS.
