Provides a foundational, language-agnostic approach to programming concepts, focusing on both design principles and implementation practices. Students explore fundamental programming constructs including data types, control structures, arrays, files, and functions, while learning modular design principles and data validation techniques. The course examines how these constructs are implemented across popular programming languages, analyzing design choices and tradeoffs in different language implementations.
