Catalog description

Guiding, physical and scientific principles related to the definitions of airworthiness requirements of aircraft are studied. A general treatment of flight dynamics, mission operations, maintenance and the life cycle environments are studied as they relate to established criteria used in airworthiness certification requirements for crewed and uncrewed air vehicle systems. The approach is foundational, adding substance to the qualitative nature of MIL-HDBK-516C while exploring the relevant military and civilian specifications such as the Joint Service Specification Guides (JSSG) and Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations as they apply in the formulation of an air system's airworthiness certification basis. Principles of aircraft mission definition, systems and components design, substantiation, validation, manufacture and serviceability are addressed.
