Modern airports face the dual challenge of ensuring environmental/social responsibility and operational resilience. This course covers strategies and the business case for waste management, energy efficiency, carbon footprint reduction, and sustainable infrastructure development. Emphasizing the crucial aspect of operational resilience, the course goes beyond by providing methodologies to prepare for and respond to disruptions whether natural events like extreme weather or man-made challenges such as system failures or security breaches.
