Intermediate Spanish II

Catalog description

Prerequisite: 1) Reading: A grade of C or better in RDG 091 or LTC 099 or satisfaction of other placement criteria; and 2) Writing: A grade of C or better in ENG 098 or LTC 099 or satisfaction of other placement criteria; and 3) Spanish requirements: Grade of C or better in SPN 201; three years of H.S. Spanish with a grade of C or better; three semesters of Spanish in college with a grade of C or better; or score of 427 or above in the Spanish Placement test. ^ The course begins with a brief review of the grammar covered in SPN 201. Additional activities focus on studying and applying increasingly complex grammatical concepts and vocabulary. SPN 202 includes timely cultural content that helps students explore the Spanish-speaking world's richness and diversity. Supplementary intermediate-level material may be read, listened to, or watched in class or as outside assignments. (1.1) Fulfills the ECC/IAI General Education/Humanities requirement.
