Prerequisite: Admission into the Ophthalmic Technician or Eye Care Assistant program or consent of instructor ^ This course introduces students to the basic principles of microbiology, ocular pathology, and common eye diseases encountered in clinical practice. Students will learn to identify microorganisms, understand mechanisms of disease transmission, and apply infection control measures to maintain a safe clinical environment.
