Catalog description

Prerequisite: Reading: Grade of C or better in RDG 091 or LTC 099, or satisfaction of other placement criteria. Math: Grade of C or better in MTH 210. ^ Third and final course in the calculus sequence. Topics include the following: vectors in 2 and 3 dimensions; planes and lines in space, surfaces and quadric surfaces, space curves; cylindrical and spherical coordinates; vector-valued functions and their graphs; functions of two or more variable; partial derivatives, directional derivatives, gradients; double and triple integrals; applications involving functions of several variables; vector fields, line integrals and Green's Theorem; parametric surfaces, surface integrals, the Divergence Theorem and Stokes' Theorem.
