Catalog description

Prerequisite: CRJ 101 or consent of instructor ^ This course will include a study of social and historical origins and of criminal law. The course will also cover the elements necessary to establish criminal violations and judicial sanctions, and the contemporary societal purposes and functions of the criminal law, using such examples and perspectives as common law, precedent, the Model Penal Code, and Illinois state statutes.
