Prerequisite: None ^ Simple sculpture construction with a major emphasis in design, contour and mass. The materials to be incorporated into visual ideas are plastic, wood, metal, clay and found objects. (1.1) Special Note: This course involves the use of specialized tools and materials that may be hazardous, including sharp hand tools, power equipment, dust, open flames and substances such as plaster, adhesives, and resins. Some equipment and shared studio spaces may also involve intermittent loud noises. Students are required to follow all safety protocols, complete safety training, and use appropriate protective equipment at all times. Individuals with sensitivities to dust, fumes, or the physical demands of studio work should carefully consider these requirements before enrolling.
