Catalog description
This course will introduce theory, history, and practice of community planning in California. Through case studies, the course will guide students through the complexities that regulate land use and resource conservation at the intersection of socio-economics and public policy. Course content will highlight urban patterns of land use and infrastructure with implications for long-term livability and sustainability. Students will gain knowledge in the application of planning fundamentals and principles to facilitate land development and city-making.
