Catalog description

This introductory course provides students with a general overview of the robotics industry, types of robot configurations and their corresponding components, design cycle, and building process. Students will explore the various subsystems that make up the different types of robots. The curriculum will guide students in the engineering design process through the development of a VEX-based robot, as well as its programming and troubleshooting. This course will serve as the first installment of six courses that will comprise the robotics pathway. Note: Robotics 110 is equivalent to Manufacturing Technology 70.
