Concert Jazz Band

Catalog description

This advanced ensemble rehearses and performs a variety of music from the swing era to contemporary jazz written for the large standard jazz band instrumentation. Emphasis is placed on section development, improvisation, extended solos, and literature that is original and of increasing difficulty. Performances include campus concerts, as well as at local schools and in jazz festivals. Note: Letter grade or pass/no pass option.
