Catalog description

This course introduces students to college-level research skills and academic libraries. Students will develop information literacy and critical thinking competencies through the practice of finding and evaluating information, recognizing credible sources, and giving credit for ideas through citations. Students will expand skills using digital tools to successfully complete a research assignment in future classes. This class will examine power structures in information and help students navigate information overload.
