Catalog description
This course provides students with information and presentations to understand basic wildland fire operations. This includes the Wildland Firefighting Size up Report, Briefing Checklist, and rules of engagement during fire operations. Fire Engines, Hotshot Crews, Helitak Crews, Bulldozers, Smokejumpers, Helicopters, and Air Tankers are all discussed along with strategies and tactics of each resource.
