Catalog description
Clinical Medicine brings in the most common diseases affecting the system. The curriculum provides the clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, and treatment of various eye, ear, nose and throat conditions and trauma. The course includes conditions presented through lecture and cases. The neuroscience and pathology knowledge required is presented earlier in the block and reinforced through clinical medicine. Treatment includes osteopathic principles, pharmacology, and surgical treatments. Diagnostic procedures are presented including radiology, laboratory results, and other disease specific diagnostic exams. The course is taught in lecture and case presentation format and can require pre-reading by the student for the cases discussed in class. •
