Catalog description

Three (3) credits, 45 hours This course will study the origin and importance of political parties in electoral processes, the constitutional recognition of political and civic organizations, as well as precedents and jurisprudence on the rights of political parties and their role in the exercise of public power. It also addresses the fundamental principles and elements of electoral processes, the election of officials, the different voting and representation systems; the right to vote as a constitutional and basic right, as well as the models of political organization of governments such as in the State Elections Commission (Comisión Estatal de Elecciones).
