Catalog description

This course is an introductory one where the student is provided with ethical and legal theoretical knowledge about the history and origin of physical fitness systems and programs. Special attention is given to special populations, this in reference to children, youth, adults, elderly, pregnant women, people with mental disabilities, physical disorders, diseases and conditions that affect health, among others. Various topics will be studied such as: legal, ethical, and professional aspects of the physical trainer, hygiene, cleanliness, safety in an exercise center, types of clients and consultation techniques.
