Catalog description

This course analyzes the role of the federal courts in relation to the other branches of the federal government and in relation to the states and their courts. Included among the topics covered are court procedural rules, constitutional requirements, limit ed jurisdiction over the matter, and diversity of citizenship, transfer of cases between court , sovereign immunity, abstention d octrine, habeas corpus recourse, and res judicata principle, among others.
