Urban Planning and Sustainable Development

Catalog description

Three (3) credits, 45 hours This course studies the historical development of urban planning and sustainable development processes. The different categories and hierarchies in the governmental structure and the impact of the different variables that affect orderly planning are examined. Factors and variables will be analyzed for nationa l, regional and municipal planning, the Land Use Plan ( Plan de Uso de Terrenos ), zoning and sustainable and sustained development. In addition, the importance of urban and rural planning in public policy is discussed.
