Catalog description

Co-requisite: NUR 4300 This course is designed to emphasize critical care nursing interventions in adults who have pathological changes. The pathophysiology of the different conditions affecting the neurological, cardiovascular, endocrine, respiratory, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, immunological, and musculoskeletal systems and the patient with multiples injuries will be studied. It prepares the student of nursing with the scientific, cognitive, analytical and humanistic principles related to the integral care of individuals during their life process. The learning approach is directed toward leadership, critical thinking, decision making, eth ical and legal responsibilities in providing nursing care to clients in critical care.
