Catalog description

Co-requisite: NUR 3360 This course provides the student with the vision and perspective of a professional nursing role in the care of the family and the community. It focuses on the aspects that affect the individual in the personal, interpersonal level as part of the family institution and as part of a social system in the community. It provides the necessary tools for students to participate in the promotion, health restoration, and disease prevention phases applied to the family and different community groups using the nursing process as a basis. Theoretical, epidemiological, demographic and bio -statistical concepts are integrated to identify health deviations in the family and in community groups.
