Mental Health and Mental Dysfunction Clinical Practice

Catalog description

Two (2) credit 90 hours Co-requisite: NUR 2208 This course provides the students with the opportunity to place into practice theories and techniques learned in NUR 2208. This includes the practice of direct care to client in a variety of mental health care settings. Traditional and non -traditional therapeutic skills used to provide direct nursing care to clients with mental health and mental dysfunction are pract iced. The nursing process is applied to collect pertinent data, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate nursing care.
