Catalog description

This course examines and studies methods of collecting evidence of technological means such as: high - tech computer systems that are related to or suspected of containing information that may channel or exonerate an offender among those who are found but not limited to: alterations of computer progra ms to use them fraudulently, use of telephone lines to access computer systems illegally, change data or files in systems to commit deception, use of computer systems, continuo us criminal enterprises, fraud c redit cards using computers, distribution of sex ually explicit material through the Internet, extortion and demands for rescue through the computer system, destruction of data and introduction of viruses into computers, among others. The course consists of 30 lecture hours and 30 laboratory hours.
