Explores the structures, programs, and strategies at local, state, and national levels designed to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters (pandemics, environmental disasters, bioterrorism, food-borne illnesses, mass-casualty events) that severely disrupt community function. Introduces competencies needed to work collaboratively on a interdisciplinary team.
