Catalog description

This course introduces the student to health promotion, health maintenance, and health restoration as it relates to client-centered care. Students continue to build on previously acquired knowledge and skills. Application of the nursing process continues as well as theory and practice in documentation. Students are beginning to explore the quality improvement process in the classroom and clinical setting. Concepts of mental health across the lifespan are introduced. Opportunities for experience in caring for selected clients mental health deviations are provided to coordinate with classroom instruction.
