Concepts of Nursing III

Catalog description

This course further expands upon the principles, theories and fundamental nursing concepts introduced in previous nursing classes with a key emphasis on health assessment and health promotion. The course provides students with additional opportunities to develop more advanced nursing skills needed to address the biopsychosocial needs of individuals in a multicultural society. Students will have opportunities to explore various roles of the nurse and further explore clinical reasoning, evidence based practice and the nursing process. Learning opportunities are presented in the classroom, laboratory and in supervised clinical experiences.
