Research/Evidence-Based Medicine

Catalog description

This course will provide an overview of research/evidence-based medicine for clinicians. Students will learn about the interpretation of basic biostatistical methods, the use of common databases to access medical literature, and how to interpret medical literature and research studies to promote evidence-based decisions in medicine. Upon successful course completion, students will create scholarly work in the form of a master's thesis paper and summary poster of quality to present at an academic or medical conference.
