Strategic Human Resources Management

Catalog description

This course examines the role of strategic planning and managing the workforce in a contemporary global environment. Students will study the role of human resources management in organizations to include staffing, training, motivation and retention, compliance, compensation, collective bargaining, affirmative action, and other regulatory issues. Students will develop an understanding of human resources as a business partner, the global nature of human resource management and the role of technology in human resource management decisions.
