This course presents the epidemiology, pathophysiology, psychosocial impact, presentations, and management of Trauma. Topics include trauma systems; mechanism of injury; hemorrhage, shock, soft tissue, burn, head, face, spine, thoracic, abdominal and orthopedic trauma; environmental emergencies and trauma skills. This course includes NAEMT Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Certification.
