Drugs and Crime

Catalog description

This course examines the sociological and psychological explanations of drug-using behavior, the relationship between drug abuse and crime, and methods for the criminal justice practitioner to interact with a drug using offender. Students will learn of the various foundations of the drug-crime relationship, as well as how to assess and intervene with the drug addicted offender.
