Catalog description

Notes: Requirement for minor in Spanish for the Professions. This course does not count towards the major or minor in Spanish. Pre-requisites: SPAN 203 or equivalent proficiency, or instructor permission. Reinforces the student’s Spanish skills while focusing on many different aspects of working with the Hispanic community within the context of the legal careers and the criminal justice environment. Covers a broad mix of legal contexts, while building the student’s practical legal terminology and written and oral communication skills. In addition, emphasis is placed on cultural issues that may affect successful interaction with Spanish-speakers.
